Ingredients:
- 2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed
- 1 bottle Bonamici Cellars red wine
- 3 cups beef broth
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Put olive oil in a big pot and heat it over medium-low heat
Put in the beef stew meat and brown it all over
Saut the garlic and onions until they smell good
Add the tomato paste and cook for one more minute
Add the red wine from Bonamici Cellars and scrape the bottom of the pot to get rid of any browned bits
Garnish with bay leaves, thyme, salt, and pepper
Add beef broth and mix well
Bring it to a simmer, then turn down the heat and cover it
