Vegan Cinnamon Crunch French Toast Sticks

These crunchy cinnamon-covered vegan French toast sticks are great for a cozy breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of thick vegan bread, cut into sticks
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup vegan cinnamon cereal, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, for cooking

Instructions:

Add almond milk, cornstarch, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon to a shallow bowl

Use a whisk to mix the ingredients well

Make sure that each bread stick is coated evenly with the mixture as you dip it in

Crush up some cinnamon cereal and put it in another shallow bowl

Crush some cereal and press it gently onto each bread stick to make it stick

Melt the coconut oil in a pan over medium heat

Add the bread sticks that have been coated to the pan

Cook for about two to three minutes on each side, until all sides are golden brown and crispy

Take it out of the pan and serve it hot with maple syrup or any other vegan toppings you like
