Ingredients:
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips optional
- For the Frosting:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 175F 350C
A 9x13-inch baking pan should be greased
Mash the bananas and melt the butter together in a large bowl
Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix them in well
Salt, baking powder, flour, and sugar should all be added
Dont mix any further than that
You can add chocolate chips and chopped nuts, if you want
Spread the batter out evenly in the pan that has been prepared
Put it in an oven that has already been heated for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
Start making the frosting while the brownies are in the oven: Melt the butter over medium-low heat in a saucepan
For another 5 to 7 minutes, or until it turns golden brown and smells nutty, keep cooking
While stirring all the time, add the heavy cream and brown sugar to the browned butter
Bring the mix to a boil, then cook while stirring it all the time for one minute
Take the pan off the heat and let the mixture cool down a bit
By whisking in small amounts at a time, you can make the mixture smooth and creamy
If you think the frosting is too thick, add more cream
If you think its too thin, add more powdered sugar
Just take the brownies out of the oven and let them cool all the way down on a wire rack in the pan
Put the caramel frosting on top of the brownies after they have cooled
Serve it cut up into squares
Have fun
